The public part

The public part provides a description of the projects and of major results. All the results presented are updated online directly from the IRIDE database. In the web-site the list and the map of participating countries are available.
On the map, each country is clickable in order to get a summary of country specific data such as official language, size of population, and a summary of resources on infectious disease surveillance and control which are included in the database. The figures reported in the summary are linked with the database and continuously and automatically updated.
At the bottom of the page there is the opportunity to browse the country specific database, clicking on the corresponding questionnaire. A set of searching mask is available with the "search" tool of the web-site. The set allows to retrieve information by different relevant keys (e.g. country, city, institute, disease, people, etc.). The search function is organized in order to allow to refine and narrow the search into the database.
Overview of the IRIDE content is organised in four "reports" available from this section. Each report provides the analysis of the databae related to one of four specific issues: statutory notification systems, non statutory surveillance systems, epidemic investigation, poles of expertise.
